Minister denies Rs 107 crore irregularities in Jagtial paddy purchase

SC, ST Welfare Minister has denied irregularities in paddy procurement in Jagtial, stating that no irregularity took place in the procurement of paddy in the district. The minister pledged to resign if corruption charges were established. So far, 4.60 lakh metric tonnes of paddy have been purchased from 80,000 farmers in 436 procurement centres, out of an expected 5.12 lakh metric tonnes of yield. The minister refuted allegations made by BRS leaders that Rs 107 crore corruption had taken place in the procurement of paddy.
