‘Nails pulled out, genitals wounded’: 5 shocking details in Dalit teen's murder in Uttarakhand

A Dalit teenager was murdered in Uttarakhand's Tehri Garhwal district after being beaten by the family of a girl from an upper caste community. The victim had been in a relationship with the girl for about six months. He was assaulted, locked in a room, and subjected to severe torture, including deep bruises, pliers used to pull out his fingernails and toenails, and injuries to his genitals. Two arrests have been made in the case and further investigation is underway.
