NCRB data shows Telangana tops in human trafficking cases, conviction rate remains low

Telangana reported the highest number of human trafficking cases in the country in 2024, as per NCRB data. During anti-trafficking operations, 812 people were rescued, but only two convictions were recorded in cases that reached court.
