NCSC seeks report on Mamata Banerjee's alleged 'derogatory' remark against SC community

The National Commission for Scheduled Castes has taken suo motu cognisance of a video clip allegedly showing derogatory language against the SC community. The commission has written to the Chief Secretary of West Bengal and the Director General of Police, directing them to submit a detailed report within three days of receiving the notice.
