NEET mess: NTA orders retest for NEET UG as CBI probes leak

National Testing Agency has cancelled the NEET-UG 2026 exam due to a paper leak. Central agencies confirmed that the question paper had been compromised, with questions available on some individuals' phones as early as May 1. The agency has handed the case to the CBI and will conduct a retest, with the schedule to be announced within the next seven to 10 days. No additional fee will be charged for the re-examination.
