NEET UG 2026: CBI files FIR, forms special teams to probe paper leak

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case for a comprehensive investigation into the alleged irregularities and paper leak in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) examination held on May 3. A FIR has been filed for offences including criminal conspiracy, cheating, and theft. Special CBI teams have been formed and dispatched to various locations as part of the probe. Over 2 million students appeared for the exam across 551 cities in India and 15 cities abroad, which has been cancelled due to the paper leak.
