NIA files charge sheet in mass poisoning conspiracy case

The National Investigation Agency has filed a charge sheet against three accused persons linked to the ISIS terrorist organisation in a Jihadi bioterrorism conspiracy case. The accused, including a Hyderabad-based doctor and two Uttar Pradesh residents, had planned to use 'ricin', a potent biological toxin, to carry out mass poisoning in public spaces in India. They allegedly operated under the guidance of IS-linked foreign-based handlers to recruit vulnerable youth and spread terror through illegal prohibited weapons and bioterrorism.
