Nile Monitor Lizard Steals Crocodile Eggs and Eyes the Hatchlings

A Nile monitor lizard is seen foraging in thick brush in Zimbabwe, using its tongue to sample chemical cues in its environment. The lizard reaches a giant nest and is startled by a baby crocodile, but instead of attacking, it rummages through the nest and eats two large crocodile eggs. The lizard then follows the baby crocodile, its tongue tasting the air as if considering it a potential meal.
