NMC proposes to ease norms for establishing medical college, tighten PG education standards

The National Medical Commission has proposed draft amendments to its regulations, focusing on easing norms for medical college establishment by allowing more trusts and societies. It is also tightening postgraduate medical education standards and introducing a single-State licence for Armed Forces Medical Services doctors to practice nationwide. The Commission has invited comments on its proposed amendments until May 7.
