Odisha govt restricts independent official vehicles for senior officers

The Odisha government has regulated the use of official vehicles due to "fuel and energy challenges" caused by the West Asia crisis. Only special secretaries are entitled to independent vehicles for official purposes. Officers promoted to additional secretary rank on or after June 1 must use pool vehicles, becoming eligible for an independent vehicle after three years of service. Pool vehicles are also provided to under secretaries to joint secretaries and heads of departments, with at least two to three officers sharing one vehicle.
