Prevailing chaos in procurement reflects govt’s unpreparedness: Kotha Prabhakar Reddy

Farmers are protesting over delays in paddy procurement in Siddipet district. Dubbak MLA Kotha Prabhakar Reddy joined the protest, criticising the State government for poor preparedness in terms of storage facilities, transportation, and equipment. He accused officials of listing paddy as 'B' grade after farmers cleaned it, causing injustice to them. The MLA urged officials to fast-track the procurement process to prevent damage to harvested paddy due to expected rains.
