Renowned Mand folk singer Gavri Devi dies

Renowned Mand folk singer Gavri Devi has passed away at her residence in Pali district. She was 98 years old and had been suffering from age-related ailments. Gavri Devi dedicated nearly eight decades to preserving Rajasthan's musical heritage and was widely regarded as one of the foremost exponents of Mand singing. Her renditions of traditional folk music took Rajasthan's cultural identity to audiences across India and abroad, earning her recognition far beyond the state.
