RTC JAC to go ahead with strike as talks with government, TGSRTC fail

Talks between the RTC Joint Action Committee and the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation management broke down on Tuesday night. The Joint Action Committee announced that a workers' strike would begin at midnight, leading to a disruption of thousands of bus services. The discussions were held over long pending demands including workers' welfare issues and matters concerning procurement and operating electric buses. A consensus could not be reached.
