Screams for help, saari for rescue: Locals recall harsh firefight at residential building in Delhi's Tughlakabad

A fire in a residential building in Tughlakabad, Delhi, claimed three lives and left two critically injured. The blaze started in the parking area on the ground floor of a multi-storey building before thick smoke spread rapidly through the structure. Locals entered the smoke-filled building and carried out rescue efforts on their own, saving several lives. They used makeshift ladders and water to reduce the smoke and quell the fire, allowing them to rescue two girls trapped on the fourth floor.
