Six forest department staff, police DSP assaulted following man’s death in elephant attack in Gudalur

Forest Department staff were attempting to retrieve a body at O'Valley in Gudalur when they were assaulted by an angry mob. As a result, six staff members sustained injuries. The body belonged to a man who died in an elephant attack, which occurred when he went to fetch water from a well near a wooded area.
