South Korean court reduces Han Duck-soo’s prison term in martial law case

A South Korean appeals court has reduced the sentence of former Prime Minister Han Duck-soo by eight years for crimes related to ex-President Yoon Suk Yeol's declaration of martial law. The court sentenced Han to 15 years in prison, maintaining most of his convictions but lessening the penalties due to his long public service and limited evidence of active participation in the insurrection. Han has been imprisoned since his original sentence in January and has denied wrongdoing on most charges.
