Station veteran retires after 45 years on railway

A long-serving member of staff at Cambridge railway station is set to retire after a 45-year career on the railway. He started working at the station in 1974 and has held various roles including in the ticket office, telephone inquiry bureau, and customer relations team. He will spend his retirement travelling, flying kites, and riding motorbikes, and plans to continue geocaching, a hobby he has been involved in since 2019.
