Sudanese army captures key town near Ethiopian border from RSF

Sudan's army has recaptured the town of Khor Hassan in southeastern Blue Nile state from the paramilitary RSF. The town's recapture is part of the army's strategy to regain control of the state, which serves as a gateway to central Sudan and borders Ethiopia. The RSF had been holding the town with the support of its ally, the Sudan People's Liberation Movement-North. The Sudanese army has inflicted heavy losses on the RSF in personnel and military equipment.
