Two killed after car driven into crowd in German city Leipzig, mayor says

Two people have died after a car drove into a crowd in the eastern German city of Leipzig. The car struck several people in the central Grimmaische Straße area before driving off. The suspected perpetrator was apprehended by authorities, who are still unclear on the motivation. The driver was later arrested and there is no further danger emanating from him. Police have cordoned off the area around the square and several ambulances were seen at the scene.
