Ukraine targets Druzhba pipeline to sever Russian oil, influence in EU

Ukraine has restarted the Druzhba pipeline, which supplies Hungary and Slovakia with Russian oil, after mending the pipeline. This move has allowed EU member Hungary to lift its veto on a 90-billion-euro loan to Ukraine. The loan was previously blocked due to Hungary's concerns about its dependence on the pipeline for crude oil. The EU has banned Russian seaborne crude and refined petroleum products, but has exempted pipeline crude until further notice.
