Venice Biennale: EU plans sanctions over Russia's participation

The Venice Art Biennale faces the prospect of having its EU funding cut due to the planned reopening of the Russian pavilion. Russia's return to the exhibition is protested by Ukraine and numerous EU politicians, who consider it morally wrong. The EU foreign policy chief has stated that Russia should not be allowed to exhibit its own art while bombing museums and erasing Ukrainian culture.
