West Bengal polls: NIA to probe bomb haul in tinderbox Bhangar

An NIA investigation has been ordered in the recovery of 79 crude bombs in Bhangar. The central government believes a Scheduled Offence under the National Investigation Agency Act, 2008, has been committed, involving the illegal storage and handling of explosives to endanger lives and property. A team from North Kashipur police station recovered the crude bombs and incriminating materials from an abandoned house, but no one has been arrested yet.
