BJP will implement UCC, prevent Bengalis from becoming a ‘minority’: Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promised to implement the Uniform Civil Code in West Bengal to end what he called the "politics of appeasement". He stated that the BJP will not let Bengalis become a "minority" in the State. This promise was made during a rally at Jangipur in the Muslim-majority Murshidabad district, where he also referred to the BJP's election manifesto as a roadmap to end Trinamool Congress's rule in West Bengal.
