After Years of Planning, New Sydney Airport Sets Opening Date

Western Sydney Airport, located in Luddenham and Badgerys Creek, is set to open to the public on October 25. Cargo operations will start earlier, in July. The airport will supplement Sydney Airport, the busiest airport in Australia, and will be operated by four airlines, including Qantas, Jetstar, Singapore Airlines, and Air New Zealand. Jetstar will operate the first flight out of Western Sydney Airport on October 25, bound for Gold Coast, Queensland.
