Amazon blocked hundreds of millions of suspected fake reviews and seized over 15 million counterfeit products globally in 2025. The company is intensifying efforts against online fraud using AI and legal action, expanding its Counterfeit Crimes Unit to India. Amazon's legal actions led to the shutdown of more than 100 websites facilitating fake reviews and scams, and the unit has pursued bad actors through litigation and criminal referrals across 14 countries.
