BJP claiming ‘fake credit’ for raising land acquisition compensation for farmers; law made by UPA govt, says Congress

The Congress has alleged that the Madhya Pradesh BJP government is claiming fake credit for doubling land acquisition compensation for farmers in rural areas. This provision was actually made by the UPA government under the land acquisition law in 2013. The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet has approved an increase in the multiplication factor for land acquisition in rural areas, allowing farmers to receive up to four times the market price.
