Central Travancore wilts under heat, water sources run dry

Central Travancore is experiencing intense heat with steadily rising temperatures. Water levels across the region have dropped sharply, causing wells to rapidly recede and streams to remain dry for months. Low-lying areas have stagnant and contaminated water, while rivers such as the Pampa, Kakkad, and Meenachil are facing a severe water crisis with water levels falling sharply.
