DDMA conducts workshop on heatwave preparedness in Wayanad

A one-day workshop on heatwave preparedness and monsoon preparedness was organised by the Wayanad District Disaster Management Authority at Kalpetta. The workshop aimed to ensure a swift response and adequate precautionary measures during disaster situations. Experts led sessions on topics including heatwaves, local heat action plans, monsoon preparedness, and disaster risks such as floods, landslides, and fire hazards. Panchayat secretaries were directed to submit their local heat action plans by a certain date.
