'Congress new Muslim League’: BJP takes jibe as party names V D Satheesan as Kerala CM pick

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused the Congress of bowing to pressure from the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) in choosing V D Satheesan as Kerala's next chief minister. The BJP claims the decision was imposed on the Kerala unit by the Congress central leadership and that internal "infighting" within the party will make the new government "remote-controlled". The BJP also alleges that there was disagreement within the Gandhi family over the leadership choice in Kerala.
