Eurovision fever hits host city Vienna

The Austrian capital Vienna is hosting the 70th edition of the world's most-watched song contest, Eurovision. Thousands of fans have flocked to the city for events and music ahead of the grand final. The contest, which reaches over 170 million people worldwide, features 35 delegations from participating countries. A colourful opening ceremony took place on Sunday, showcasing the best and worst from seven decades of the music competition. Hundreds of police officers are deployed for security, while some countries have decided to snub the edition in protest at Israel's participation.
