Explain interest payment, house site allotment to Kaleshwaram project displaced persons: HC to govt

The Telangana High Court declined to close contempt of court cases against Principal Secretary of Finance and others over payment of compensation to 55 persons whose properties got submerged in the Kaleshwaram project. The government counsel informed the court that compensation was paid to the 55 displaced persons the previous day. The court had directed the Finance Secretary to explain why compensation was not paid despite specific court orders.
