German whale rescue convoy heads towards North Sea release point

A ship convoy is transporting a humpback whale stranded off Germany's Baltic Sea coast through the Skagerrak, part of the North Sea. The barge carrying the whale and an escort vessel are heading north of Denmark's northernmost tip, towards Norway, where the animal is to be released at an undisclosed location. The convoy had to change course due to high waves, but the whale was not released during this period.
