Germany sees record swings in fuel prices under new rules

Germany has seen record swings in fuel prices since a rule limiting petrol stations to a single daily price increase took effect. The rule, based on the Austrian model, was introduced after fuel prices surged due to the Iran war. Despite the measure, overall fuel prices have continued to rise, with the difference between the highest and lowest price during an average day reaching €0.146 per litre for Super E10 petrol and €0.184 cents for diesel.
