Gretchen Walsh lowers own 100m butterfly world record for fourth time

American swimmer Gretchen Walsh has lowered her own world record in the women's 100-metre butterfly at the Fort Lauderdale Open in Florida, achieving a time of 54.33 seconds. This is her fourth time breaking the record, with her previous best being 54.60 seconds set in the same pool. Walsh is now more than a second faster than the second-fastest woman in the event's history.
