HC asks govt. to come up with rehabilitation scheme for  transpersons at the taluk level

The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court has directed the Tamil Nadu government to formulate a comprehensive rehabilitation scheme for transpersons at the taluk level. The scheme aims to provide avenues of self-employment and sustainable livelihood, secure a life of dignity, and ensure meaningful inclusion in society. The court acknowledges the socio-economic conditions of transpersons and deems it necessary to issue directions for their rehabilitation.
