Higher the alcohol content in your drink, more you have to pay in Karnataka excise tax taxation liquor

Karnataka's Excise Department has proposed a new 'Alcohol in Beverage' policy. The policy aims to implement excise taxation based on 'per mil litre' in the beverage. As a result, prices of whiskey, gin, rum, and other beverages with higher alcohol content are set to increase. The policy also reduces excise duty slabs from 16 to 8.
