Higher the alcohol content in your drink, more you will pay in Karnataka

Karnataka's Excise Department has proposed a new 'Alcohol in Beverage' policy with respect to excise taxation. This policy aims to bring down excise duty slabs from 16 to 8. As a result, prices of whiskey, gin, rum, and other beverages with higher alcohol content are set to increase.
