History feat for West Bengal as polls close with highest-ever voter turnout of 92.59%

West Bengal recorded a historic voter turnout in the 2026 assembly elections, with 92.59% of voters casting their ballots in the second phase. Female voter turnout stood at a record 93.24% across both phases, surpassing male turnout of 91.74%. The overall voter turnout in the polls stood at 92.9%, with the second phase turnout significantly higher than the previous record of 84.72% in the 2011 assembly polls.
