SC rejects plea to release activist Teesta Setalvad’s passport, seeks travel itinerary

The Supreme Court has denied social activist Teesta Setalvad's request to release her passport, stating it will consider her request upon receiving a travel itinerary. Setalvad had deposited her passport as part of a bail condition imposed by the top court in a case of alleged fabrication of evidence in the 2002 Gujarat riots cases. The court assured that if her passport renewal comes up, it will direct the authorities to renew it.
