Police officer lowered into crocodile-infested river to recover human remains

Police in South Africa recovered human remains from a crocodile-infested river after an officer was lowered from a helicopter to secure the reptile. The operation was described as highly dangerous and complex. A massive crocodile, measuring 4.5m and weighing 500kg, had been killed earlier and its intestines contained human body parts and six different types of shoes. DNA tests will now be carried out to confirm the identity of the remains.
