Pope Leo to visit France in late September

Pope Leo XIV will travel to France at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, church authorities, and UNESCO Director-General. The trip is scheduled to take place in late September. The Vatican has not yet published a travel itinerary, but confirmed that Leo will visit the UNESCO headquarters in the French capital. This trip marks Leo's first visit to France as the head of the Catholic Church, although he previously visited the Principality of Monaco in March.
