Unidentified senior public servant on radar for assuring relief in CBI cases

A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) bribery case has been registered against an unidentified senior public servant and others for allegedly seeking a bribe for "favourable relief" in a multi-crore counterfeit drug manufacturing racket. The CBI arrested Delhi police inspector Pradeep Singh while he was allegedly accepting the first instalment of the bribe. The senior public servant allegedly met with the accused and introduced them to a CBI officer, promising to secure relief through his connections and influence within the agency.
