US must not insult IRGC during the World Cup: Iran’s football chief

Iran's football chief Mehdi Taj says the country's World Cup preparations remain on track, but participation will depend on a guarantee of respect for the Iranian armed forces by the US. The Iranian Football Federation will seek reassurance from FIFA that the US will not insult the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps during the World Cup. This comes after an incident in Canada where an FFIRI delegation turned back due to alleged unacceptable behaviour by immigration officials and an insult to the IRGC.
