World’s top media outlets urge Israel to allow independent access to Gaza

Over 200 Palestinian journalists and media workers have been killed in Gaza in Israeli attacks. A joint letter by top media executives, including the BBC, CNN, Reuters, and The Associated Press, has called on Israel to allow foreign journalists to enter and report from Gaza independently, citing freedom of the press as a basic value in any open society. The Israeli government has not responded to their request.
