Nearly two lakh vehicles in 15 minutes as school runs strain Cyberabad traffic beyond IT rush

A survey by Cyberabad Police has found that the daily school run contributes to congestion, creating a new peak and choking roads. The act of dropping and picking up children has emerged as a major contributor to congestion across the commissionerate, which has nearly 1,500 schools and about 5.8 lakh enrolled students. A door-to-door survey at 500 key schools has mapped the scale of the problem.
