Upset over defeat rumours, TVK chief Vijay's fan slits throat in Tamil Nadu

A fan of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief allegedly slit his throat in Tamil Nadu due to distress over 'Vijay's defeat' in the Assembly elections. The victim, reportedly a 28-year-old resident of Krishnagiri area, was rescued and taken to hospital for intensive treatment. TVK has made a stellar debut in the elections, threatening the incumbent DMK government, while AIADMK is holding its ground.
